Department: National Accounts

Job Summary: Responsible for supporting the P&C department in development, training, implementation and continuous improvement of: 1) Technical training modules and courses for all levels; 2) Create and implement specific aptitude testing per position level; 3) Supporting employee professional development initiatives; 4) Inter-department collaboration to achieve company-wide goals; 5) Quality management program; and 6) Standard procedures and standard documents.

Principal Responsibilities
  • Develop curriculum for all P&C employees’ development as they progress in their career path.
  • Create, develop and facilitate a wide variety of training programs that enhance the effectiveness and skillset of the P&C workforce.
  • Provide actual departmental and one-on-one training to employees in select, targeted areas and topics.
  • Assist in the development of tools for training analysis for all staff, including personalized gap analysis and personal training plans.
  • Integrate into the Conner Strong & Buckelew team and culture and execute training plans that meet business objectives.
  • Assist with onboarding of new hires and ensuring the training plan meets the Account Executive Team needs.
  • Create training strategies, initiatives and materials.
  • Partner with Human Resources team to strategize employee development plan (in areas other than technical insurance) as needed.
  • Train new hires and current employees on Account Executive team job responsibilities.
  • Create and execute role specific training modules for Account Executive teams.
  • Educational mindset to develop content and co-instruct courses.
  • Create and execute role specific aptitude testing and deliver results to management and training managers.
  • Create and maintain National Accounts standard documents, procedures and job aids.
  • Facilitate trainings and co-host Service Team Meetings.
  • Collaborate with training managers, practice leaders, account executives and executive leadership team to build a training program that enhances client servicing.
  • Implement and utilize a learning management system.
  • Contribute to P&C Training Committee and CSB Training Committee.
  • Support Quality Management initiatives.


Other Functions
  • Collaborate with Human Resources on new hires, interns, co-ops, and employee training needs including aptitude testing.
  • Collaborate with Training Managers, legal and compliance team on licensing and CE compliance.
  • Collaborate with IT on RPA initiatives and overall support for P&C department.
  • Professional Development: Collaborate with managers to communicate/coordinate the process with employees.
  • Manage vendor contracts, relationships and publication user licenses.
  • Provide leadership to internal customers in promoting support, mentoring, teamwork and commitment to department/corporate goals. 
  • Work with internal customers to build and establish relationships.
  • Remain current on industry trends and information, new product development, legislation, coverages and technology. Communicate relevant information to National Accounts personnel.
  • Promote Conner Strong & Buckelew externally via networking events, conferences, and job fairs.

Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience preferred.
  • Certification in education, training or facilitation preferred.
  • A strong understanding of commercial property & casualty insurance; broker experience a plus.
  • Exceptional organization, project management and service skills.
  • Ability to promote and exemplify teamwork.
  • Independent, flexible, self-starter who can multi-task effectively.
  • Detail oriented, enthusiastic, superior work ethic, strong interpersonal, analytical, verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to exercise discretion.
  • Strong problem solving and “can do” attitude.
  • Advanced Proficiency in Microsoft Office Products; Word, Power Point and Excel.
  • Advanced knowledge of Document Management System (ImageRight) and Agency Management System (Sagitta).
  • Adheres to Company Policies and other guidelines.
  • Develop/manage key relationships at all levels within the Conner Strong & Buckelew organization.
  • Other duties as assigned.
  • Authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis without Company sponsorship.

Specialized Knowledge or Licenses

Property & Casualty Producer License

ARM, CRIS, CPCU and other specialized designations as appropriate
