Human Resources Information Systems Analyst

Location: San Francisco, Los Angeles, New York, Atlanta, or Washington, DC
Reports to: Human Resources Manager
Exempt classification: Non-Exempt
Status: Regular, Full time
Salary range: $70,000 to $80,000 Annually

POSITION SUMMARY:
As an HRIS Analyst, your core responsibility revolves around managing the organization's Human Resources Information Systems (HRIS) platforms within the HR departmental use. This involves overseeing data entry processes, maintaining the integrity of HR data, generating insightful reports, and providing technical support to users across the HR department. Your role is pivotal in ensuring that all HRIS function seamlessly and efficiently to support HR operations and strategic decision-making.

Data management is a key focus of your work. You'll regularly conduct audits to verify data accuracy and compliance within all systems, implementing robust validation protocols to uphold data integrity standards. Collaborating closely with HR and Payroll teams, you'll ensure that the information stored in the system is up-to-date, reliable, and compliant with internal policies as well as regulatory requirements.

Your involvement extends beyond routine operations to encompass system enhancements and upgrades. Collaborating with IT specialists, you'll identify opportunities for improving system functionalities, deploy new features, and ensure smooth integration with other organizational systems. This proactive approach enhances the overall effectiveness and usability of the HRIS, contributing significantly to operational efficiency and user satisfaction.

Additionally, you'll play a crucial role in data analysis and reporting. By leveraging HRIS-generated data, you'll derive actionable insights, create meaningful reports, and provide valuable recommendations to HR and business leaders. These insights empower decision-makers to drive strategic initiatives, optimize HR processes, and align organizational goals with actionable data-driven strategies.

PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITITES:

  • Oversee the day-to-day operations of the HRIS platform, including data entry, system maintenance, troubleshooting, and compliance.
  • Ensure accuracy and completeness of HR data, conducting regular audits and implementing data validation processes.
  • Generate and analyze HR data reports to provide insights and support decision-making for HR and business leaders.
  • Collaborate with Payroll, IT and HR teams to identify system improvement opportunities, implement new features, and ensure seamless integration with other systems.
  • Provide training and support to HRIS users, including troubleshooting issues and assisting with system navigation.
  • Ensure HRIS compliance with regulatory requirements and internal policies, including data privacy and security standards.
  • Identify inefficiencies in HR processes and workflows, proposing and implementing solutions to streamline operations.
  • Liaise with various system vendors for system updates, upgrades, and resolving technical issues.
  • Maintain accurate documentation of HRIS processes, procedures, and system configurations.
  • Lead or participate in HRIS-related projects such as system migrations, implementations, and upgrades.
  • Stay updated with industry trends and best practices in HR technology, recommending and implementing innovations where applicable.
  • Work closely with Payroll, HR, IT, and other departments to ensure alignment of HRIS strategies with organizational goals and objectives.
  • Support change initiatives related to HRIS implementations, ensuring smooth transitions and user adoption.
  • Analyze HR metrics and trends to provide insights for strategic planning and decision-making.
  • Investigate and resolve HRIS issues reported by users, escalating complex issues as needed.

EDUCATIONAL AND OTHER REQUIREMENTS:

  • An advanced degree in Human Resources, Organizational Development, Business Administration, or related is preferred, but not required.
  • Minimum Bachelor’s degree - Graduate from an accredited school. Area of emphasis: Human Resources, Organizational Development, Business, or related degree.
  • Alternatively minimum Associate degree - Human Resources, Communications, Business Administration, or related discipline.
  • Minimum of 2 years of demonstrated experience in HRIS administration, data management, compliance, or HR operations.
  • Minimum of 1 year of demonstrated success working within a not-for-profit, face paced environment.
  • Minimum of 2 years of demonstrated proficiency in ADP Workforce Now.
  • Experience working with multi-state, multi-location environments preferred
  • ADP Workforce Now Specialist – Proficiency Certification preferred
  • The incumbent may need to travel to other LIIF offices, currently in San Francisco, Los Angeles, DC, Atlanta, New York and affiliates in Ohio.
  • Valid Driver’s License Required - Driving to meetings and/or events may be necessary.
