Job description

At Cogent Analytics, we partner directly with privately held businesses to drive measurable improvements in operations and finances. The Performance Analyst supports Cogent Analytics' consulting team by helping design, implement, and evaluate customized business solutions for privately held and family-owned businesses across multiple industries.

This role works closely with Project Directors to deliver measurable operational and financial improvements for clients.ย The ideal candidate is analytical, operationally minded, adaptable, and comfortable working in a fast-paced consulting environment where priorities can shift quickly.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Deliver quantifiable and sustainable value for clients reflected through the income statement, balance sheet, cash flow, and quality of life by assisting the Project Director on varied deliverables. This is achieved through the successful development, implementation, training, and evaluation of solutions to client challenges.
  • Responsible for the daily time entry and weekly invoicing of billable work completed on all assigned tasks
  • Responsible for clear and concise communication with all Project Directors, clients, and the Innovative Services Director
  • Manage the assigned body of work to ensure high-quality, on-time delivery.
  • Follow established Cogent processes for client and project engagement. Solutions will come from a wide range of areas, including but not limited to business development, organizational engineering, operations management, financial management, and strategic planning.
  • Review and disseminate information from financial reports and apply operational improvement deliverables on behalf of the client.
  • Help build and maintain the solution library to efficiently develop solutions.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Working knowledge of GAAP financial reporting principles
  • Ability to interpret financial and operational data
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Office Suite
  • Experience using financial software, CRM systems, dashboards, and project management software
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines simultaneously
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English, with the ability to communicate professionally with clients, leadership teams, and internal stakeholders
  • Comfortable working in a collaborative, fast-paced environment
  • Authorized to work in the United States
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Accounting, Operations, Economics, or related fieldย 
  • Experience in consulting, operations, finance, business analysis, or project support
  • Experience working with KPIs, dashboards, or operational metrics
  • Exposure to process improvement methodologies such as Lean or Six Sigma
$57,500 - $70,000 a year
