Service Dispatcher

Our company is looking for a Service Dispatcher to take incoming calls and help facilitate the dispatch of our service professionals to companies in need. In this role, it's your responsibility to carefully listen to each caller, obtain vital information over the phone, take note of the schedules of technicians and other service professionals, and swiftly respond to the request. You must keep organized notes or records of these calls in our database. Aside from dispatching, your other duties may include but not limited to invoicing customers, making purchases and organizing our file system of service calls.

Roles and Responsibilities

• Receive emergency and non-emergency calls and record significant information
• Address problems and requests by transmitting information or providing solutions
•  Receive and dispatch orders for products or deliveries
• Prioritize calls according to urgency and importance
•  Use phone or computer to send crews, vehicles or other field units to appropriate locations
• Monitor the route and status of field units to coordinate and prioritize their schedule
• Enter data in computer system and maintain logs and records of calls, activities and other information
• Invoice customers and help keep track of billing information

Requirements and Qualifications

• 2 year minimum experience as a dispatcher or relevant position
• Ability to relay information in a fast-paced environment
•  Knowledge of computers for scheduling and other dispatching duties
• Knowledge of procedures and guidelines for emergency situations
• Proficient in English (oral and written)
• Outstanding organizational and multitasking abilities
• Excellent communication skills to collaborate with others under any type of condition
• Sound judgment and critical thinking
• High school diploma
• Ability to work under stress and remain calm and to calm other people during rapidly changing circumstances
