JOB SUMMARY
The Director, Marketing Communications will lead the development and execution of effective Marketing Communications programs to support Company objectives. This role is responsible for management of Program development and execution with considerations for company business rules and requirements. Key responsibilities include strategic planning / roadmaps and driving the implementation of those plans. The Director works closely with Creative Strategy (Brand) and other Marketing teams. This role acts as liaison for planning and execution of programs with cross functional teams; Product, Programming, Care Operations, Government Affairs, Finance, Legal and others.

MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Actively and consistently support all efforts to simplify and enhance the customer experience

Lead and direct team in the development of customer communications strategies.

Optimize communications approach with focus on accuracy, automation, process and quality assurance.

Works with key stakeholders to understand programs and impacts to customers, as well as, assessment of impacts to company. Design and execute customer touchpoints, keeping customer experience a focus.

Ability to gather cross functional, cross departmental buy-in for programs.

Ability to manage at all levels of the organization. Presentation to key senior executives as appropriate.

Responsible for managing relationships with external vendors and oversight of process and inventory control.

Maintain company compliance policies related to communications process and material.
Responsible for managing the budget, expense tracking and accrual process.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Ability to analyze, interpret data, and continually evolve communications strategy based on key learnings
  • Strong leadership and collaborative capabilities that impact and influence employees
  • Ability to develop personnel and foster team environment
  • Ability to handle multiple projects and tasks effectively
  • Ability to make decisions and solve problems while working under pressure
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality
  • Ability to communicate orally and in writing in a clear and straightforward manner
  • Ability to communicate with all levels of management and company personnel, including executive leadership
  • Ability to lead large, cross-functional teams in order to achieve business goals and results
  • Proficiency with software applications (i.e. PowerPoint, Microsoft Word, Excel, WebEx) and database management
  • Strong business sense and sense of urgency to achieve business results
  • Requires strategic thinking, deep analytical, and executive presentation skills
Education
Bachelor's degree required in marketing or related field or equivalent experience
MBA/master’s degree preferred

Work Experience
Overall business experience; 8+ years
Marketing and/or Operations/Customer Experience; 8+ years
Telecommunications industry experience; 8+ years

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
Skills/Abilities and Knowledge
Knowledge of video, high speed internet, phone and mobile products and services preferred
Advanced proficiency with Excel and PowerPoint
Customer Journey and mapping experience a plus
