NineStar Connect, a forward-thinking, community-focused cooperative providing essential services in Central Indiana, seeks a Human Resources Manager to champion our people strategy. This vital role offers the opportunity to collaborate with the Vice President of Human Resources to shape our culture, cultivate talent, ensure compliance, and prioritize safety all while working with a dynamic team and making a real impact.

What You'll Do:

  • Become a Culture Champion: Partner with leadership to craft and implement HR programs that foster stability, flexibility, pride, and well-being, making NineStar Connect an employer of choice.
  • Empower Employees: Champion positive employee relations, addressing concerns effectively and resolving conflicts fairly. 
  • Develop Future Leaders: Identify and address training and development opportunities, designing and delivering engaging programs to enhance employee skills and knowledge, fostering continuous growth.
  • Prioritize Safety: Partner with Risk Management to cultivate a safety-first culture, driving accident prevention and minimizing incidents.
  • Attract Top Talent: Lead top-level recruiting efforts, leveraging your expertise to attract and retain exceptional talent across all levels of the organization.
  • Build a High-Performing Team: Coach and mentor the HR team, providing resources and support for their success, fostering collaboration and growth.
  • Stay Ahead of the Curve: Stay abreast of HR trends and best practices, implementing innovative solutions to improve organizational effectiveness.
Qualifications

Knowledge of:

  • Ability to act with integrity, professionalism, and confidentiality.
  • Proven track record of success in talent acquisition, employee relations, safety, and development/training.
  • Thorough knowledge of employment-related laws and regulations.

Skill in:

  • Strong interpersonal, negotiation and conflict resolution skills.
  • Facilitating meetings, presentations, and discussions.
  • Proficient in HR software and technology, familiar and highly effective with Microsoft Office Suite. 

Ability to:

  • Navigate and communicate effectively with a wide range of skill sets and expertise of internal personnel, contractors, vendors, and customers, “tailoring” the message for the desired understanding and corresponding result.
  • Build strong relationships and foster teamwork to motivate teams to sustain exceptional levels of performance.
  • Think creatively and critically and make suggestions for improvement.

Education & Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business, or related equivalent.
  • At least three years of supervisory/management experience plus seven+ years of direct Human Resources experience focusing on employee relations, employee development, culture enhancement, and safety.
