Account Manager

In this role you will...

The Account Manager position is responsible to provide-evolving best class customer support to Sales and a portfolio of assigned customers. Accountable for managing customer orders through the pipeline to facilitate growth of existing accounts. In the event of absence, these job responsibilities will be covered by an employee in the “Account Manager” or “Director of Services & Commercialization” position.

  • Escalate systematic/process problems until final solution/resolution.

  • Partners with Sales to create new item projects and manage the execution, including connecting all stakeholders and reporting progress through regular meetings.
  • Review open order reports and drive action to support on time delivery; including advising customers on change in dates.
  • Track and understand key metrics such as sales by SKU, on time delivery, quality, order Input, finished goods levels and other key performance indicators.
  • Develop, Maintains and shares insights around customer profiles, records of customer sales calls, successes and problems to drive ongoing improvements.
  • Liaise with cross-functional internal teams (including Pre-media, Engineering, Supply Chain, Scheduling, Quality, Production and Shipping) to improve the entire customer experience.
  • Directs all order management activities to ensure all requirements have been met per order; shipping release so delivery can be achieved on a timely basis. Manage expedited shipments when necessary, with required mgmt. approval.
  • Delivers a complete, accurate, and timely sales order packet to Production Planning to produce an accurate electronic job ticket.
  • Actively participates in Sales and Operations Planning (S&OP), Demand Consensus and Vendor Managed Inventory (VMI) programs.
  • Assist with any return authorizations (RA’s) to ensure any quality issues are addressed quickly and material returned for rework.
  • Initiates the quotation process and facilitates the quotes for management review.
  • Other duties may be assigned and are required as part of the essential functions of the position.

  • 4-year college degree preferred or 4+ years of experience in a Customer Service or Account Management role in a manufacturing environment highly preferable.
  • Must be able to work during the hours between 8 a.m. and 5 p.m.
  • Must be capable and willing to work in excess of a normal workweek with notice, as outlined in the
  • Personnel Handbook, as work level demands dictate.
  • Must be able to distinguish and ensure accuracy of work in a fast-paced production environment.
  • Must be able to identify, prioritize, and meet multiple expectations for area of responsibility.
  • Must have the physical dexterity to bend, stand, flex, and reach as the position dictates.
  • Must be able to use the Company’s software efficiently and effectively.
  • Must travel as required; overnight travel may be required.
