Customer Service Representative

Business Communications Solutions is an audiovisual systems, low-voltage cabling, and security solutions installer based in Irvine, California. We are looking for a motivated, team-player to join our growing team as a Customer Service Representative. BCS provides audiovisual integration services ranging from design-build consulting through project planning to post installation training and support.
The ideal candidate must have excellent customer service skills and enjoy working with people, great organizational skills, plenty of experience with project coordination and good problem-solving skills.

What you will be doing:
· Handle inbound and outbound customer-related phone and email inquiries
· Opening customer service requests in support-ticketing system
· Escalate customer issues with internal management teams
· Place material orders (generating purchase orders) with distributors for customer installations
· Assist with receiving and staging materials for customer installation
· Assist with scheduling and dispatching in-house field technicians for service calls and installations
· Assist with basic equipment configurations for customer installations as needed (training provided)
· Assist Sales Department with quote creation/entry as needed
· Assist with other general office tasks as needed
· Position is full time and hours are 8am-5pm, Monday through Friday
What skills you need to succeed:
· Strong customer service skills with a focus on customer needs
· Proficient with Microsoft Suite programs (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook)
· Strong and concise communication skills (both written and verbal)
· Strong organizational skills
· Ability to prioritize and multi-task between projects and requests
· Ability to work in a team environment or independently
· Ability to think quickly and work in a fast-paced environment
· Tech savvy; able to learn and use new pieces of equipment and software efficiently
· Must be punctual, responsible, and reliable
What qualifications you need to have:
· Associate’s degree or higher
· 2+ years’ work experience in a customer service position
Desired qualifications include:
· Experience in the telecommunication or IT industry
· Experience with inventory ordering and/or management
· Experience with Tigerpaw CRM software
· Ability to read bid blueprints and create project take-offs based on blueprints
