SUMMARY

This position requires the level of knowledge and skills necessary to diagnose and repair diesel vehicles as well as construction equipment. This individual must have the ability to effectively work and communicate with employees.

Responsibilities:

Basic understanding of, and experience with, mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems used in various construction equipment
Diagnostic and repair of agricultural and construction equipment
Performing vehicle and equipment maintenance to the R&R Solutions standards
Perform minor and major repairs on trucks and equipment
Conduct regular preventative maintenance on equipment and service trucks, including inspection, tire rotation and oil changes
Clean and maintain shop area and equipment
Moving vehicles safely between areas
Collaborate with repair team to diagnose problems with vehicles and plan repairs
Other duties as assigned

Qualifications:

Clean driving record with a valid driver's license
Class A CDL preferred, but not required
Must own your own tools, required for the trade
Possesses physical strength necessary to lift up to 50 lbs
Must be able to climb stairs frequently
Ability to withstand physical requirements of the position
Works well with a team
Communicates clearly and effectively
Operate equipment used in the repair or servicing of vehicles and equipment.
Works in an outdoor garage facility, unheated and uncooled, approx. 8-10 hours per day
Must pass pre-employment drug screen and background check

Education & Experience:

High school diploma or GED is required
ASE Certifications preferred, but not required
Previous experience working on diesel or heavy construction equipment is required

Pay Rate:

$18.00 to $30.00 per hour averagebased on experience.
