Electrical Control Panel Shop Technician I

We are excited to add an Electrical Control Panel Shop Technician I to our Control Panel Shop in Longmont, Colorado. The Control Panel Shop Technician will work on various aspects related to the manufacturing of custom UL508A control panels, including mechanical assembly, mechanical fabrication, panel layout, labeling, wiring and cross check inspections. This is a dynamic opportunity for a knowledgeable applicant in beautiful Colorado.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

• Identify electrical panel components from bill of materials and schematic symbols
• Wire industrial control panels based on schematic, blueprint, and/or wire schedule.
• Electrically layout panel designs based on drawings
• Wire panels to UL508A specifications and in accordance with drawings
• Reads work orders, follows production drawings and sample assemblies, or receives verbal instructions regarding duties to be performed.
• Maintains a clean, organized, and productive workspace.
• Follows all safety protocols and procedures.
• Other duties as assigned.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

• Able to read electrical and mechanical schematics and drawings and have a good understanding of electrical and electronic symbols.
• Experience with tools required for electric and mechanical assembly and fabrication
• Strong, effective written and verbal communication skills

• Detail oriented and strive for quality workmanship

Basic Qualifications & Competencies

• 1-year (or less) experience with panel building, layout, and design
• Computer Skills- Word, Excel, Outlook
• Must be able to provide proof of eligibility to work in the U.S.
