Sr Accountant for Government Contractor (Remote)

At Iuvo Systems we provide outsourced accounting, system configuration, new system implementation, consulting, training, and staff augmentation to Government Contractors and Project Oriented businesses. We are seeking a Senior Accountant to work in a full time capacity assisting our various clients.

Duties

• Ability to run reports and make appropriate entries
• Consolidations
• Eliminations
• Inter-company Accounting
• ASC 606 / Revenue Recognition
• Balance Sheet Reconciliations

Skills

• Strong Costpoint background.
• Government contracting experience.
• Can meet strict reporting deadlines.
• Strong working knowledge of Cost Accounting Standards (CAS), GAAP and Federal Acquisition Guidelines (FAR).
• Strong Accounting Experience: Billings (Cost Plus/T&M), AP, Time Collection, Project Setup, Journal Entries, Month End Close, etc). Financial design, Cost Allocations.
• Incurred Cost Submission reports is a plus.
• Ability to lead meetings and discussions with C-level staff from small to medium sized businesses.
• Can quickly navigate client situations and find solutions.
• Ability to make fundamentally sound business recommendations following Cost Accounting Standards (CAS), GAAP and Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) guidelines.
• Can easily adapt to multiple work environments with different personalities, becoming a trusted business adviser for Iuvo clients.
• Strong communication skills and keeping detailed notes for the client as well as for Iuvo.

Education

• Bachelor's degree required (preferred in Accounting)
• MBA and/or CPA preferred but not required

• Remote, work from home office
• Must have great internet and phone service
• Ability to work and be available for meetings during Iuvo Client business hours (typically Eastern Time zone, M-F 8:00am-5:00pm)
