Event Field Technician

Safari Solutions is currently looking for a high energy, motivated Event Field Integration Technician with a competitive spirit, personal drive, and track record of success. You must demonstrate the ability to multi-task, problem solve, and think creatively to address unforeseen obstacles. The Event Field Integration Technician is expected to have experience across the wide variety of technologies that include routing, switching, cabling, telephony, printing, Wi-Fi, and PC management.

Responsibilities will include:

• Travel nationwide to events for onsite white-glove IT support
• Install and support voice and data equipment. Equipment can be Access Points, IP phones, routers, and Internet related machines
• Support end user printing and PC issues and questions
• Provide Windows and MAC desktop support
• Provide onsite Office 365 and G-Suite support
• Support of 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac wireless networks
• Terminate and test voice and data cabling
• Collaborate with other teams at a live event and assist when needed
• Track client issues and resolutions
• Various tasks as required

The ideal candidate:

• Must be willing to travel approximately up to 180 days per year
• Experience in the field with on-site customer interactions
• Able to learn or has experience in technology solutions such as desktop support, network troubleshooting, Office 365, G-Suite, WAPs, Wireless and other networking devices
• Experience with VoIP and/or Telecom services is preferred
• Structured cabling expertise is preferred
• Working knowledge of how to deploy a Wi-Fi solution
• Must be able to form long term relationships with clients
• Able to work in a fast pace and entrepreneurial environment
• Naturally curious and eager to take on new challenges
• Remains flexible and be comfortable with change as our business continues to evolve
• Ability to manage multiple priorities, and meet deadlines
• Ability to work under a dynamic/high pressure environment in dealing with concurrent issues effectively
