Job Description

GENERAL DESCRIPTION:

Top Behavioral Health provider in Texas is seeking an HR Assistant with a positive attitude to support their busy office and to learn, grow and flourish in the HR environment of the organization.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Answers and directs departmental phone calls.
  • Assist with workflow in the department
  • Provide verbal and written verification  of employment.
  • On-boarding assistance such as background checks, I-9 verification, and new employee orientation
  • Maintain employee files
  • Recruiting assistance - Schedules meetings and interviews.
  • Sort and route mail to appropriate departments.
  • Assists with preparation and sending correspondence from department
  • Schedules and organizes appointments; take minutes and distribute departmental meetings notes
  • Clerical functions: photocopies, scans and emails documents, prepare purchase orders

REQUIRED SKILLS:
  • Knowledge of Microsoft office
  • Ability to successfully use an automated HRIS record keeping system.
  • Client-service orientation with a strong focus on delivering exceptional customer service.
  • Highly organized, ability to multitask
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills, with an emphasis on tact and diplomacy.
  • Ability to function in a fast-paced environment.
  • Able to handle confidential and proprietary information appropriately.
  • Effective problem-solving skills

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:
  • High school diploma or GED.
  • 2 years’ experience working in a HR Department preferred.
