IT Project Manager

OB TITLE: IT Project Manager

LOCATION: Jersey City

Main Skills: IT Project Manager, managing client server software development projects, onshore offshore resources, bank operations.

Education—       Bachelor’s degree preferred. MBA is a plus.  Professional experience will be considered in lieu of education.

Skills— 

• Highly skilled in project management and demonstrated experience with all phases of project management as it pertains to information technology solutions
• Good understanding of and experience in utilizing various project management methodologies including Waterfall and Agile
• Highly skilled and significant demonstrated experience managing major strategic bank business or technology initiatives reporting to a Senior Level Steering Committee
• Good understanding of System Development Life Cycle
• Exposure to the design, development, and implementation of information technology systems.
• Communicates clearly and concisely, presents ideas in user-friendly language and has strong presentation and interpersonal skills.
• Establishes and maintains effective working relationships at all levels.
• Excellent analytical, conceptual, and problem-solving abilities.
• Good working knowledge of planning, project management, budgeting, and quality assurance as it relates to business process and software development projects.
• Good experience with vendor relationship management including vendor onboarding and follow up, contract review, invoice review and tracking.
• Ability to inspire, lead, train and mentor other Project Leaders, software developers, architects, or analysts.
• Good human relations, communications, negotiation, problem solving, teamwork and interpersonal skills at all level of the organization
• Ability to manage and provide guidance to employees and consultants, both on-shore and off-shore.
• Knowledge of planning, budgeting, and quality assurance as it relates to software development projects.

Experience—

• Minimum five years of highly skilled and significantly demonstrated experience with all phases of project management as it pertains to information technology solutions.  Experience should demonstrate reporting to senior management of an organization.  Finally, experience include significant exposure to design, development, or implementation of information technology solutions.
