Process Engineer Intern

Position Description: JOB SUMMARY
The Engineer Intern will support discipline engineers in day-to-day engineering tasks to develop a greater understanding of the field of engineering and design.
RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES
Learns and asks questions to understand clearly what the objective is at hand.
Applies relative and current educational knowledge to proper technical situations.
Works within Anvils Project Services Quality System.
Meets regularly with assigned supervisor to review ongoing progress and performance.
Performs periodic field visits to project sites accompanied by assigned engineer.
REQUIRED SKILLS AND ABILITIES
Accepted into a college of engineering and possess the passion to pursue a career in engineering.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Strong organizational skills.
Ability to work within a team environment.
Strong computer skills: Microsoft Excel, Word.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
Pursuing a B.S. in Engineering from an accredited university or equivalent in the field of:
Chemical
Electrical
Mechanical
Control Systems
Civil/Structural
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
Able to sit/stand, type, and perform computer work for long periods of time.
Frequent use of hands/fingers for computer entry and answering phones.
Able to perform occasional bending, lifting, and reaching.
Must be able to lift 15 lbs. if necessary.
Must be able to climb ladders and stairs at heights as would be necessary for a field survey in a heavy industrial environment.
