We are looking for our next Management Analyst to join the team at the Tualatin Valley Water District!

 

The Job:

As the Tualatin Valley Water District's (TVWD) Management Analyst, you will be responsible for performing a variety of professional-level management tasks and providing department-wide support for the financial operations of the District and supporting the District's overall financial needs.

 

As the Management Analyst, you will report directly to the Financial Operations Manager and provide backup to employees within the finance department. You will be a part of the Finance team which consists of 11 employees. You will work and collaborate closely with the other divisions within TVWD. Here is a list of typical duties you can expect to perform as the Management Analyst:

 

• Responsible for system administration of the District's enterprise resource planning software, New World ERP including financial management and human resource modules.
• Provide technical oversight and backup support for various department functions, e.g., payroll, accounts payable, accounts receivable.
• Assist in the development of the District's biennial budget and annual comprehensive financial report
• Develop tools to enhance decision making and improve operational efficiencies 
• Monitor and analyze budget variances and communicate findings to department managers, supervisors, and other stakeholders.

 

Ideal Candidate & Typical Qualifications:

We're looking for a Management Analyst with the ability to effectively maintain and manage our New World system, provide various financial reports, and act as backup support for various department functions.

 

We're specifically looking for our next Management Analyst to embody the following traits and attributes:

• A strong sense of curiosity and desire to learn
• Ability to independently problem solve, but not afraid to ask for help when needed
• Foundational knowledge of accounting and accounting operations
• Team player- we are looking for someone who can work exceptionally well in a team setting
• Effective written and verbal communication skills 

 

Any combination of experience, education, and training are qualifying for this role, including less traditional backgrounds. Compensation & Benefits:
The current salary range for this position is: $72,238 - $108,347 per year. TVWD is proud to offer a valuable benefits package including participation in the Oregon Public Employees Retirement System (PERS), low-cost medical/vision/dental insurance, and paid time off including vacation, sick, and holiday leave. Additionally, TVWD offers a 401(k) retirement plan with a TVWD match of up to 3% of gross wages, as well as, access to 457(b) retirement plans with pre/post-tax contribution options. Schedule:
Our Finance team is currently working a hybrid schedule where they work from home Monday, Tuesday, and every other Friday and work in the office, to join as a team, Wednesday's and Thursday's.
