Description of role: Gursey | Schneider is looking for a dynamic and detail-oriented professional to contribute to the litigation department in a hybrid environment or a fully remote role. G|S' litigation department position focuses on high-net-worth clients and business owners in all financial aspects of the marital dissolution process. This unique role will allow the associate to work with G|S' established tracing team and to utilize G|S' proprietary tracing and marital lifestyle software. The tracing team focuses on collating, organizing, categorizing, analyzing, and characterizing high volumes of data from source documents such as bank, brokerage, and credit card accounts. This position allows for professional growth and career development.

Job Title: Litigation Associate for Ceres Tracing Team (Local Office or Remote)

Department: Litigation Support - Tracing Team

Educational Requirements:
• Bachelor's degree (majors in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or related discipline preferred)

Minimum Qualifications:
• Attention to detail and accuracy
• Ability to organize voluminous detailed information
• Basic bookkeeping or use of accounting/bookkeeping/finance software (Quicken, QuickBooks, AgiLink/Datafaction, Sage, etc.) to categorize/reconcile transactions
• Well-established skills in Microsoft Excel (Preferred candidates can demonstrate basic competency in the use of Excel's logical, information, lookup & reference functions, and Excel tables.)
• Basic competency in Microsoft Word and Outlook

Preferred experience/skills:
• Basic programming experience
• Data analytics, such as data mining, data management, statistical analysis, and data presentation.

Responsibilities:
• Extracting and/or data entry of transactions for tracing separate property assets in marital dissolutions
• Reformatting transactional data and importing into G|S' proprietary programs
• Generate reports from G|S' proprietary programs (Ceres tracing, Lifestyler, etc.)
• Reconciling data to source documents
• Inventory source documents and identify document deficiencies necessary to complete work
• Customize reports in Excel or Word for client-specific scenarios
• Prepare and reference work paper files for litigation managers and partners to utilize in marital dissolution proceedings (Court, settlement conferences, depositions, etc)
