Systems and Network Administrator

What you will be doing:Job duties include updating hardware and software packages, revising documentation, installing computer and network systems, removing malware and other security threats, in a Microsoft 365 user environment. This is a very small team with very large responsibilities.

What you need:

• Some experience as a Systems and Network Administrator
• Knowledge of networking services and common networking protocols
• Understanding of managing Office 365 applications
• Computer proficiency and understanding of the deployment and management of several types of hardware to include, but not limited to:
  • Desktops
  • Laptops
  • Servers
  • Switches
  • Routers
  • Load balancers
  • Firewalls
• Previously built machines to baselines
• Trouble shooting office networks, and peripherals experience
• Experience with Virtual Machine configuration and management
• Problem solving and critical thinking skills
• Experience with system backup/restoration
• Previous responsibilities administering Windows desktops
• Desired experience in Linux system administration
• Familiarity with Dell servers
• Experience updating and installing software
• Attention to detail
• Written and verbal communication skills
• Basic project management skills
• Comfortable in a customer facing role
• Flexible schedule required

Education and Certifications:

A bachelor's degree in information technology, computer science, systems engineering or network administration or equivalent experience preferred.

Certifications in disciplines such as Cisco CCNA, CompTIA Network+, AWS SysOPs Administrator, Linux+/ Linux Foundation Certified System Administrator and/or Microsoft Windows Server and Windows Client desired.
