Job description

Network Operations Administrator

The Opportunity:

Operate a legacy network, ensuring stable operations of key infrastructure services, device configurations, identity services, patching, monitoring, and troubleshooting. Provide foundational support that strengthens operational readiness and prepares installations for modernization activities. Ensure daily stability and hygiene of infrastructure services, device images, and access controls. Administer and maintain L2 or L3 device configurations, images, golden baselines, and network policies. Support core infrastructure services, including AD, VLAN, TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, TACACS+, RADIUS, and certificate deployments. Execute patching, firmware updates, vulnerability mitigation, and configuration compliance. Monitor network management systems, respond to alerts, perform triage, resolve incidents, and manage ticket queues or SLA execution. Maintain CMDB accuracy, device inventories, and backup or restore procedures. Assist with STIG reviews, ACAS remediation, and cybersecurity reporting tasks. Support SAT execution, network cutovers, and technology transition activities. Maintain and update Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), runbooks, and shift handoff documentation.

You Have:

  • 4+ years of experience with administration
  • Experience with campus switching, WLAN operations, identity or NAC services, and largescale enterprise networks
  • Experience with STIG or ACAS protocols, and basic scripting with PowerShell
  • Ability to provide onsite support
  • Secret clearance
  • HS diploma or GED
  • DoD 8570 or 8140 CompTIA Security+ Certification
  • Network Certification such as CCNA Certification

Nice If You Have:

  • Experience with NetApp or SAN
  • Experience in SD-WAN or SD-Access implementation with various vendors, including Palo Alto, Juniper, Cisco, or Versa
  • Experience scripting with Python
  • Microsoft or VMware Certifications
  • CISSP or CompTIA CySA+ Certification
  • AWS Certified Solutions Architect or similar Cloud Certifications

Clearance:

Applicants selected will be subject to a security investigation and may need to meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information; Secret clearance is required.

Salary at Booz Allen is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, the individual's particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements. The projected compensation range for this position is $61,900.00 to $141,000.00 (annualized USD). The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of Booz Allen's total compensation package for employees.
