Job Summary:

The WIDA Marketing Specialist position is located within the Communications and Market Expansion department and will report to the Marketing Manager. This position will be responsible for leading WIDA integrated marketing campaigns to build educator awareness of and engagement with WIDA resources and services. The position will also serve as a department liaison within WIDA, helping specific departments develop and execute their communication plans. Responsibilities may include overseeing and executing key WIDA communication vehicles such as email newsletters and social media channels.

Working fully remote is an option for this position within the United States (working remotely internationally is not an option). Responsibilities:

Contributes to strategy development and implements marketing projects in support of institutional or unit marketing goals.
  • 50% Develops, implements, and maintains strategic marketing plans based on research and established strategies
  • 40% Develops, implements, and disseminates marketing materials through various communication mediums utilizing appropriate technologies and techniques
  • 10% Collects, analyzes, prepares, summarizes, and disseminates data and trends relevant to ongoing or future marketing activities

Education:

Required
Bachelor's Degree

Qualifications:

- Minimum of 2 years of experience leading and/or contributing to results-driven content plans and communications and marketing campaigns.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills; proven ability to communicate in a timely, effective manner with external and internal clients.
- Experience writing and creating content for digital platforms such as social media, email and websites (e,g, webpages, articles, blogs).
- Proven strong creative judgement and experience guiding compelling graphic design work, aligned with brand guidelines in support of communication/marketing campaigns.
- Experience using data-driven insights to make campaign recommendations/decisions.
- Ability to conceptualize and apply customer segmentation strategies for marketing campaigns.
- Experience working individually and in a collaborative team environment, managing multiple projects with attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.
- Experience leading cross-functional teams to execute communication and marketing campaigns.
- A value of promoting and fostering diversity, equity, and inclusion.
- A willingness to engage in and deepen knowledge of WIDA's Social Justice value.
- Bilingual/biliterate in Spanish preferred.
