Job Description

International Project/Construction Management Firm is seeking an Assistant Project Manager for the following locations:

  • St. George, UT (Zion National Park area)

General Description:

Construction Management & Development, Inc. (CM&D) is currently seeking a talented individual with demonstrated experience in full-cycle, complex hospitality construction projects. The Assistant Project Manager provides full time support of the project management team and requires frequent, high-level interaction with our Clients. He/She is responsible for ensuring that all aspects of our services are being delivered at the highest level to ensure that the Client/Owner is satisfied.

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Assists in managing the day-to-day project activities.
  • Takes, maintains, and distributes all project meeting minutes.
  • Assists with the preparation, managing, monitoring, and maintaining of comprehensive budgets, schedules, and cash flow projections.
  • Establishes and implements a quality assurance and quality control program.
  • Leads project meetings, liaises with the Owners, and assists with presentations to the Owners executive management team.
  • Coordinates through his/her team, the preparation of RFP/bid packages and managing the bid process.
  • Assists with the solicitation, evaluation, and selection of the architects, engineers and other sub-consultants and the contractors.
  • Assists with managing the design effort to ensure the project is being designed to meet the owner’s objectives and budget.
  • During the design management process, assists with the preparation of Design Review reports and performs value engineering analysis, peer reviews, and constructability reviews.
  • Assists in managing the work of the architects, engineers, other sub-consultants and the contractors.
  • Participates in the review/update of project schedules/budgets (budgeted, actual, committed, and projected).
  • Coordinates the processing of clarifications, submittals, and requests for information, shop drawings, substitution requests, change proposals and change orders.
  • Reviews and approves monthly payment requests by consultants and contractors.
  • Assists in the preparation of daily, weekly and monthly reports that discuss, in detail, the status of the project.

Qualifications

Required

· 5-10 years of project management experience in full-cycle, complex hospitality construction projects

· Completed Bachelor’s Degree

· Must have excellent communication skills both oral and written;

· Must have excellent writing and typing skills; be computer literate and capable of using multiple applications including but not limited to MS Office365 (Word, Excel, Outlook), Adobe Acrobat; Microsoft Project; Cloud-based Filesharing (Eg. Box, Egynyte, Sharepoint); Construction Management, Scheduling and Estimating apps (Procore, Egnyte, BuilderTrend, Primavera, Timberline, On Screen Takeoff, Microsoft Projec, etc); and general Internet.

· Must be located near St. George (Zion National Park area).

Preferred

· Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering, Architecture, or Construction Management

· A graduate degree or project management certification is a plus.

· 5-10 years previous construction experience with Complex, High-end, Sustainable Design, Hospitality Projects is a plus.

· Illustrated experience in graphic design for reports, presentations, and websites

Job Type: Full-time

Salary: $72,000.00 - $84,000.00 per year
