We provide essential services, resources, and advocacy to help survivors on their journey to healing and independence. As we continue to expand our impact, we are seeking an exception Payroll Specialist who possesses outstanding organizational skills, excellent attention to detail and a creative problem-solving mindset to be an integral part of our finance team.
This multifaceted role will encompass both accurate and timely processing of payments to support our essential programs and services. As a Payroll Specialist, you will leverage your skills to effectively monitor and track expenses, process accounts payable invoices, and manage various projects as assigned.
In this nonexempt, full-time role, you will be an essential member of our finance team, contributing to the smooth operation of our organization. Key responsibilities include:
• Efficiently process payroll responsibilities, including verifying, entering data, and calculating pay in accordance with overtime, pay differentials, taxes, deductions, ensuring accuracy and compliance with state and federal regulations.
• Calculate pay according to hours worked, incorporating leaves, overtime, pay differentials, taxes, deductions, and benefits.
• Assist in the maintenance of payroll data and records, including employee information, tax withholdings and benefits deductions.
• Collaborate with HR department to handle payroll and employee verification issues in a timely manner.
• Prepare and distribute payroll reports, summary and analyses as needed.
• Reconcile payroll and benefit accounts and resolve any discrepancies or issues.
• Process and record invoices, payments, purchase orders, and expenses related to accounts payable.
• Verify vendor accounts and statements and ensure timely payments.
• Perform other accounting or administrative tasks and reports as assigned.

Requirements
M I N I M U M Q U A L I F I C A T I O N S
Associate or bachelor's degree from an accredited university or college with major course work in accounting or related field or 3 + years of progressive accounting and/or payroll-related experience. Strong hands-on knowledge of accounting and finance software, ADP experience preferred. Ability to prioritize workload, meet deadlines and work well under pressure. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to approach sensitive issues with discretion and compassion. Advanced skills in Microsoft Office, including Word and Excel.
