This position will provide a wide range of technical solutions to improve/enhance system performance and lengthen service life of Inverter, and battery storage systems, and emerging technologies). It will assist with the development of technical requirements for functional improvements or major system enhancements, and assist with developing and providing guidance for systems users and other technical support staff on system functionality and support requirements.
A successful candidate must be able to:
The design of new electronic hardware systems and components including rectifying boards, circuit board design, RF component design, and advanced network communication interfaces.
Hardware development, distribution, and installation
Development and execution of detailed plans, schedules, and related activities to test and validate systems are functional
Design Engineering reviews of hardware design data to ensure it meets the criteria established
Analysis, design, build, and test in support of proposed acquisitions
Insuring hardware changes are performed in a thorough and complete manner to enhance future maintainability
Quality control and quality assurance insuring all hardware designs meet government, industry, FCC EMC , UL, Surge, ESD, MIL and NAS standards as modifications and retrofits are developed or installed
Development of Operations and Maintenance manuals
Maintaining an inventory for operational firmware and documentation for assigned hardware
Preliminary Design Reviews (PDR), Critical Design Reviews (CDR), Physical Configuration Audits (PCA), and Functional Configuration Audits (FCA)
Meetings and conferences as required in the acquisition and life cycle process, and provide responses to action items as needed
All other duties as assigned
A successful candidate will demonstrate:
Designing and building hardware
Recommending new hardware designs
Performing tests of new hardware and software
Troubleshooting and debugging performance issues
Working with vendors and hardware suppliers to implement new designs
Supporting the hardware engineering team and Repair bench
Providing technical support for hardware issues
Following industry-standard processes and procedures
Collaborating with other engineers
Qualifications:
Bachelor's Degree in Electrical/Electronic Engineering
Minimum of six (6) months or more of relevant work experience
Experience with circuit board design, RF component design, and designing network communication interfaces.
Experience working in a collaborative team setting to research and design technical products
