Job description

Quality Support, Inc., openings for Hardware Engineers with 5+ years of related experience with a background of submarine electronic subsystem requirements, development, testing, building, maintaining, and troubleshooting AI infrastructure under the guidance of senior staff. In this role, you will bridge the gap between design and production, focusing on prototyping, PCB design, testing and system integration of our rapidly expanding AI infrastructure. Working alongside senior engineers, you will ensure the highest levels of system availability, performance, and security as we bring innovative products from concept to prototype to mass production. Preferred Virginia Class Submarine Program and/or Columbia Class Submarine Program background/experience but not required. Secret and Top-Secret clearances required. Must be a US Citizen.

Hardware Engineer II Job Responsibilities

  • Design & Prototyping: Create schematics, design PCBs, and develop hardware components (like processors and FPGAs) from concept to mass production.
  • Testing & Validation: Bring up new hardware, execute system‑level tests, and use debugging tools like oscilloscopes and logic analyzers.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with firmware, software, and mechanical teams to integrate hardware systems and troubleshoot issues.
  • Maintenance & Troubleshooting: Perform failure analysis on fielded hardware and resolve legacy or manufacturing defects.
  • Documentation: Generate and maintain detailed technical specifications, design reviews, and test plans.
Hardware Engineer Qualifications/Skills
  • Proficiency with design and analysis software (e.g., Siemens Xpedition, Altium).
  • Experience with communication interfaces (PCIe, Ethernet, I2C, SPI).
  • Basic programming capabilities in Python or C/C++ for test automation and debugging.
