Job Description

TITLE: Recruiting/Marketing Assistant (exempt/non-union/full time/in-person)                   

Reports to: Human Resources Director / Marketing Specialist / Leadership Team

Position Summary: Cody Vermette Group is growing, and we are excited to be adding a Recruiting/Marketing Assistant to our team. In this new role, the Recruiting/Marketing Assistant will have the opportunity to build and grow our talent-sourcing process while also helping to increase our social media and market presence. Reporting to our HR, Marketing, and Leadership Team, you will work to understand the business needs and find the best candidates to fit our team. You will also help to present our company to prospective clients. We are looking for a go-getter who possesses excellent people and communication skills and isn’t afraid to think outside of the box. The Recruiting/Marketing Assistant supports CVG’s Project Management team by identifying the highest level of well-vetted candidates for open positions at the company and attracts talent through LinkedIn Recruiter, career fairs, college recruiting programs, Construction Management competitions, and other avenues, while also helping to promote the company both internally and externally using multiple forms of written communication. The Recruiting/Marketing Assistant also will help coordinate the company’s summer internship program to create and maintain a pipeline of strong potential candidates.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

Recruiting

·         Conduct full-cycle recruiting from creating job descriptions, posting jobs, screening resumes, conducting phone and in-person interviews with candidates, coordinating interviews with hiring managers, and verifying work history and references.

·         Partner with HR Director to conduct New Hire Orientation, coordinate employee’s first day logistics, and assist with training needs.

·         Sell the benefits of working for Cody Vermette Group to potential candidates.

·         Answer frequently asked questions from applicants and employees relative to standard policies, benefits, hiring processes, etc.

·         Expertly use LinkedIn Recruiter (or other sites) to identify skilled candidates and proactively engage with them.

·         Manage a fast-paced recruiting portfolio.

·         Use a consistent Applicant Tracking System and written email communication.

·         Register and prepare for college fairs and information sessions.

·         Be willing to travel (including overnight trips) for college recruiting fairs.

·         Establish and maintain summer internship program.

·         Serve as a liaison with staffing agencies, college representatives, and industry associations.

·         Partner with HR Director to ensure HR policies and current employment laws and regulations are met.

·         Maintain employee confidence and protect operations by keeping HR information confidential.

 

Marketing

·         Increase the company’s social media presence with regular, targeted posts.

·         Assist in developing content for company’s LinkedIn page.

·         Assist with website content creation.

·         Assist with Requests for Proposals (RFPs) and prospective client presentations.

·         Assist with creation of monthly internal newsletter.

·         Assist with identifying and sourcing promotional items and apparel.

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE/QUALIFICATIONS:

·         Prior experience in sourcing, screening, and qualifying candidates, ideally within the construction field, or in an industry that requires uniquely skilled and knowledgeable workers.

·         Bachelor’s degree preferred.

·         Basic knowledge of employment laws.

·         Proficient in Word, Excel, and Outlook.

·         Excellent written and verbal communication with impeccable attention to detail and ability to function effectively under time pressure.

·         Experience with social media marketing.

·         Organized with a strong attention to detail and accuracy; excellent follow-through skills.

·         Ability to build and foster positive team relationships.

·         Maintains a professional environment, demonstrates ethical behavior, and uses good judgment.

·         Be adaptable, flexible, and resilient while managing multiple tasks concurrently in a fast-paced environment.

·         Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.

 

EXTENSIVE EMPLOYEE BENEFITS PACKAGE:

·         Paid Time Off (PTO): Full-time exempt employees begin accruing PTO on the first day of employment. New employees are not eligible to use PTO until they have completed at least 90 days of employment. Employees accrue PTO based on length of employment, per an 80-hour pay period.

·         Paid Sick Leave: You will receive 40 hours (5 days) of paid sick leave per year, beginning on your date of hire.

·         Holiday Pay: (10) Paid Company Approved Holidays.

·         Cell Phone Allowance: $50/month reimbursement for usage of employee-owned cell phone

This position has an annual salary range of $80,000 – $105,000k. The actual salary offer will be carefully considered based on a wide range of factors, including your skills, qualifications, and experience. The range is subject to change and may be modified in the future. This role is also eligible for company-funded health, dental, vision, life, disability along with retirement plans.
