Job Summary: The Co-Teacher will work in collaboration with lead teachers and other educational staff to facilitate a dynamic and engaging learning environment for students. The primary responsibility is to support the lead teacher in planning, implementing, and assessing instructional activities that promote academic, social, and emotional development. The Co-Teacher will contribute to fostering a positive classroom culture and supporting the diverse needs of students to ensure a successful learning experience.

• Assist in developing lesson plans, teaching materials, and educational activities in alignment with the curriculum and educational goals
• Provide individualized support to students based on their learning needs and abilities, reinforcing concepts and assisting with comprehension
• Support the maintenance of an organized and positive classroom environment by managing student behavior, implementing discipline strategies, and promoting respect and cooperation
• Lead and manage small group activities to reinforce lesson objectives and provide additional assistance to students requiring extra support
• Assist in assessing student performance and progress, and provide constructive feedback to both students and lead teachers to drive improvements in learning outcomes
• Collaborate with special education professionals to address the unique needs of students with varying abilities, ensuring inclusion and accessibility in the learning process
• Engage with parents and guardians to provide updates on student progress, behavior, and achievements, fostering a strong home-school connection and involvement
• Participate in training sessions, workshops, and professional development opportunities to enhance teaching skills and stay updated on educational best practices
• Contribute to the modification and adaptation of curriculum materials and teaching strategies to meet the diverse learning styles and interests of students
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of student attendance, assessments, and other relevant information for tracking student performance and growth

• Bachelor's degree in Education or a related field; a relevant teaching credential is a plus
• Previous experience working in an educational setting, preferably as a teacher's aide, tutor, or assistant teacher
• Knowledge of effective teaching strategies, classroom management techniques, and child development principles
• Understanding of diverse learning needs and the ability to adapt instructional approaches to accommodate various learning styles and abilities
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with a team of educators, parents, and students
•  Patience, empathy, and a genuine passion for working with children and helping them achieve their academic and personal goals
•  Ability to maintain a positive and inclusive classroom culture that encourages engagement, creativity, and critical thinking
• Flexibility and adaptability to handle varying classroom situations and adjust teaching strategies accordingly
