Job description

Description
Position Summary:
The Breaks Operations Manager is responsible for the daily execution of CardVault Breaks' live operations. This role works closely with leadership, breakers, inventory teams, and marketing to ensure our streams, inventory, pricing, and operational processes run smoothly and efficiently. The role operates and maintains the department's established systems and workflows - including the breaks dashboard, inventory and pricing tools, and nightly reporting - to keep the business running accurately at scale.
This position is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment, is comfortable working across multiple systems, enjoys working with data and logistics, and wants to play a key role in scaling a rapidly growing business in the sports collectibles industry.
As Breaks Operations Manager, a typical day might include the following:
Representative but not exhaustive. Other duties may be assigned.
Live Stream Operations
  • Oversee nightly ring-outs and reconciliation of all live stream sales through the breaks dashboard, ensuring every stream reconciles accurately each night.
  • Ensure all live streams are scheduled and uploaded at least 72 hours in advance across all platforms (Fanatics Live, eBay Live, Whatnot).
  • Coordinate breakers' and program managers' daily show schedules and lineups.
  • Ensure streams are fully populated with accurate product listings, pricing, and descriptions prior to going live.
  • Monitor nightly results and follow up on any inventory-pending or reconciliation exceptions surfaced by the system.

Inventory & Logistics
  • Manage inventory tracking and stock levels across all CardVault Breaks products, using Cin7 as the system of record for stock, costs, and transfers, with Shopify as the storefront.
  • Own stock transfers and resolve inventory issues in Cin7 - processing transfers between locations, correcting discrepancies, and keeping on-hand counts accurate.
  • Coordinate inventory transfers between the Boston and Foxborough locations to ensure optimal stock allocation.
  • Support the breaks managers with monthly inventory needs, questions, and counts.
  • Monitor product availability and notify leadership when reorders or rebuys are needed.
  • Support the breaks managers with accurate weekly and monthly inventory counts, reconciling Cin7 against physical stock and the storefront.
  • Order supplies and materials for the breaks office and keep the office stocked for daily operations.

Financial & Performance Tracking
  • Maintain and update live stream performance tracking used to analyze nightly results.
  • Track operational KPIs such as GMV, margins, product mix, and sell-through rates.
  • Assist with financial forecasting for each product category (baseball, football, basketball, soccer, F1, TCG, etc.).
  • Ensure pricing targets and break margins are kept current across all streams.
  • Keep product costs accurate in the system so margin and profit reporting stays reliable.

Marketing & Content Coordination
  • Manage CardVault Breaks social media accounts - scheduling and posting daily content and stories, and keeping the accounts active and on-brand.
  • Coordinate with the creative team on promotional graphics and marketing assets for upcoming streams.
  • Ensure live streams are properly promoted across social platforms and community channels.
  • Assist with the production and scheduling of promotional videos highlighting upcoming shows, products, and events

Team & Administrative
  • Manage timekeeping for the breaks team - reviewing and maintaining timesheets for accuracy each pay period.
  • Support the breaks managers and streamers with day-to-day operational needs and coordination.
  • Help maintain the department's standard operating procedures and documentation.
  • Grow into ownership of breaker scheduling once the department and its systems are fully learned.
  • Other duties as assigned to support general operations.

What Success Looks Like
A strong Breaks Operations Manager keeps the department running accurately and on time: streams reconcile cleanly each night, inventory in Cin7 matches reality, pricing and costs stay current, the office stays stocked, social stays active, and the breakers have the support they need to perform. Over time, this person becomes the operational backbone of the department - the person who keeps every moving part aligned as the business scales.
Requirements
This job might be for you if you demonstrate the following abilities and meet the following qualifications:
  • A general comprehensive knowledge of and/or passion for trading cards desired
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Prior supervisor experience required
  • Minimum of one-year of similar or industry-related experience is preferred

  • Experience with Shopify, Google Sheets, or inventory systems is a plus
  • Experience in social media coordination or digital marketing is a plus
  • High school Diploma/GED desired
  • Ability to work weekends, evenings and holidays as needed
