In this career, your duties and responsibilities may include researching and coordinating travel, transportation, and accommodation. A travel administrator may find employment with the travel department of a corporation, with a consulting or travel services firm, or as an independent agent who works with different clients.

How to Become a Travel Administrator

The skills and qualifications you need to start a career as a travel administrator vary depending on your employer. The minimum requirement for this career is a high school diploma. You may wish to pursue a postsecondary education as well. Some colleges offer associate degrees in travel or travel and tourism. You may also want to pursue a travel agent certification. This accreditation is not a requirement, but employers and clients may prefer a licensed agent.
