Some healthcare real estate managers or specialists work with healthcare providers who have multiple locations. Your responsibilities involve finding facilities that have the necessary equipment and infrastructure to handle the unique needs of healthcare providers. You can either work with healthcare providers in general or specialize in certain facilities that have very unique needs.

How Can I Get a Job in Healthcare Real Estate?

The qualifications that you need to start working in healthcare real estate include a state license, negotiating skills, and an understanding of the unique real estate needs of healthcare providers. You typically need to take a course and pass an exam to earn a real estate agents license in your state. Some companies prefer to work with agents or real estate specialists who have a bachelor’s degree in business or legal studies or equivalent experience in commercial or medical real estate. While it is not a requirement, experience working in healthcare can be beneficial.
