What Is a CHFM and How to Become One

What Does a CHFM Do?

A CHFM or Certified Healthcare Facility Manager is a leader in the administration of a healthcare facility. You can work in a long-term care home, x-ray clinic, mental health drop-in center, or any other type of facility where healthcare is available. As a CHFM, you ensure that all building systems and equipment are functioning correctly. Your other duties are to supervise departments to ensure that they are properly staffed, and that staff members are performing their duties safely and ethically. You may also oversee maintenance, scheduling, budgets, and hiring for the facility.

How to Become a CHFM
