The Email Marketing Specialist is responsible for contributing to email and online marketing communications and campaigns that are distributed to Virtuoso-affiliated member travel agencies and their consumer clients. The Digital Marketing Specialist also collaborates with Virtuoso-preferred travel supplier partners to ensure their products and promotional content are presented accurately and compellingly across Virtuoso’s marketing channels.
Essential duties and responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
- Manage single-partner and multi-partner emails and implement various aspects of other digital marketing projects (digital ads, social media, etc.), which includes tracking participation, budgeting, sourcing content, developing creative, collaborating with freelance copywriters and designers, uploading creative assets, and deploying finished products.
- Collaborate with a designated set of supplier partners, ensuring their strategic marketing goals are accomplished, including requesting content, producing creative, selecting targeted consumer lists, and managing the review and approval process.
- Follow established processes to accomplish company, member, and partner goals and drive performance of marketing products.
- Ensure Magazine Manager sales system data accurately reflects supplier participation in assigned marketing projects, including content type and ad rates. Collaborate with Global Product Relations to adjust and confirm supplier partner participation as business needs dictate.
- Proofread, edit, and fact-check content to ensure the presentation is accurate, compelling, and adheres to Virtuoso’s marketing best practices.
- Facilitate the internal review and approval process for marketing projects, providing feedback and implementing feedback from internal and external groups to ensure marketing products achieve the most effective presentation.
- Collaborate with Marketing Production department for scheduling, budgeting, and distributing marketing products.
- Collaborate with supplier partners and the CRM team to select targeted consumer lists for emails.
- Complete quality assurance of digital marketing products, ensuring compatibility with web browsers and email clients and all links, images, subject lines, personalized fields, and list segments are accurate and working properly.
- Attend educational seminars and webinars to refine skills and keep current on industry trends and developments.
Educational and Skills Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in marketing, advertising, communications, or related field
- 1+ years’ experience in marketing, advertising, or a related field
- Strong writing, proofreading, and verbal/interpersonal skills
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
- Ability multi-task and prioritize in a deadline-driven environment

Travel Requirements:
- Travel is rarely required for this position (0-1 trips per year).
- Travel will be entirely domestic.
Type/Nature of Contacts:
- External: Daily contact with outside partners and vendors, including travel partners, designers, and copywriters.
- Internal: Key job contacts are primarily with clerical/technical personnel and managers outside of the job’s immediate work unit/department.
