Position Summary:
The Cafe Attendant is responsible for the set-up operation and breakdown of the Caf at The Inn at Villanova University. Job duties include preparing and serving food, coffee, alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages, and food items as well as operating and cleaning the equipment and operating the MICROS cash register system.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Set up and stock bar area along with preparing any alcoholic or nonalcoholic beverages and condiments/supplies. Set up and stock Caf area including baked goods, non-alcoholic beverages, and condiments/supplies.
• Take orders, prepare, and serve guest orders. Follow strict coffee making procedures based on coffee provider expectations.
• Greet guests, take customer orders and serve in a friendly, courteous manner. Maintain professionalism while assessing guests' needs and preferences and offer recommendations if needed.
• Maintain a clean and neat work and service area and restock bar inventory, caf inventory and supplies as needed.
• Perform additional duties and assist with special projects as assigned.

• High School diploma or equivalent required.
• Basic knowledge of beverages and food items, and cleaning practices, RAMP certification required.
• 1+ year food service experience.
• Oral and written communication skills. Ability to work independently as well as in a group under general supervision. Ability to interact with guests, co-workers, and supervisors in a positive and helpful manner, as well as ability to work independently for extended periods of time.
• Must have excellent guest service skills. Excellent knowledge of mixing, garnishing and serving drinks. Ability to keep the bar organized, stocked and clean.
• Turbo Chef, Espresso Machine, general kitchen equipment.

• Standing for extended periods of time, Ability to lift a minimum of 30 pounds
• Hours: Flexible work schedule based on business of the hotel.
