Job description
Summary/Objective
Part-time. $16.00 an hour. Paid time off. Free museum passes and discounts. The purpose of this position is to provide administrative and customer service support to Space Camp operations.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Essential Functions
Reasonable accommodation may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform these essential functions.
- Answering Space Camp customer phone calls, providing information/escalating customer concerns.
- Creating and maintaining Camp administrative paperwork.
- Supporting the Space Camp programs check-in/check-out process.
- Data collection and report formatting.
- Other duties as prescribed.

QUALIFICATIONS
Required Education
- Education: High School diploma or equivalent
Required Experience
- Technical Experience:
- Must be able to use a 101-key keyboard and possess knowledge of DOS and Windows-based operating systems.
- Must be proficient with Microsoft WORD and Excel.
Preferred Experience
- 1 year of work experience in an administrative position or related field.
OTHER REQUIREMENTS
Physical Requirements
This position requires the ability to walk and climb stairs to access various departments and buildings. The role involves sitting for extended periods (4-6 hours) while operating a computer terminal, handling documents, and using the telephone. The position also requires carrying and lifting supplies and boxes weighing up to 25 pounds to waist height, as well as bending, kneeling, and reaching to store and retrieve materials. Visual acuity is necessary for reading and operating a computer terminal, handling documents, and sorting mail. The role also requires frequent talking and hearing to effectively communicate with supervisors, employees, guests, and trainees within the assigned areas of responsibility.

WORK ENVIRONMENT
Environmental Factors
This position is primarily based in a climate-controlled office environment. It involves frequent interaction with guests, trainees, and parents both in person and over the telephone.
Expected Hours of Work
- This position may involve Day/Night/Weekend shifts.
