Job description


LaSalle Network is partnering with a fast-growing pet health technology company to hire a Sr. Manager, Data Governance. This role is designed for a builder - someone excited to establish governance frameworks, define best practices and create scalable processes that support enterprise-wide data initiatives.
The Sr. Manager, Data Governance will own governance strategy across critical data domains while helping drive adoption of Azure Databricks and Unity Catalog governance capabilities. This individual will collaborate across technical and business teams to improve data quality, compliance, discoverability and operational efficiency.
What's the job?



  • Design and implement enterprise data governance frameworks and standards

  • Lead governance operations, stewardship activities and policy management

  • Operationalize governance within Azure Databricks and Unity Catalog

  • Define data quality metrics, monitoring processes and remediation workflows

  • Improve visibility into metadata, ownership and lineage across enterprise systems

  • Partner with Security, Privacy and Legal teams on governance and compliance initiatives

  • Support governance audits and evidence collection processes

  • Drive enterprise adoption of governance standards and data literacy initiatives

  • Prioritize governance requests, issues and enhancement opportunities

  • Utilize SQL and PySpark for analysis and governance-related investigations



What's needed?



  • Extensive experience in data governance or enterprise data management

  • Expertise with Databricks governance tools and Unity Catalog

  • Experience building governance programs in growing organizations

  • Knowledge of data compliance frameworks including GDPR, CCPA and SOC2

  • Strong communication and leadership abilities

  • Experience with metadata tools such as Purview preferred

  • Ability to balance strategic initiatives with hands-on execution

  • Strong SQL and PySpark experience preferred

Key Details



  • Compensation: $160,000-$175,000

  • Benefits: Healthcare, PTO, 401(k) match, bonus eligible

  • Location: Remote; anywhere in the U.S.
