Job Summary:  A local Defense Contractor is looking for Systems Engineers. As a SystemsEngineer, you will play a crucial role in designing, implementing, andmaintaining the training system to ensure optimal performance and effectivenessfor naval personnel and perform various tasks across multiple systems' life cycles including requirements decomposition/traceability, interface design, risk management, technical reviews, prototyping, and test/fielding support.

Job Responsibilities Include:

  •  Collaboratewith a multidisciplinary team to design, develop, and implement astate-of-the-art training system for Navy    surface ships.
  • Analyze and understand Navy training requirements to ensure the system meetsoperational needs effectively.
  • Develop technical approaches to achieve desired capabilities and ensurerealistic training scenarios.
  • Develop system architecture and design specifications to integrate softwareand hardware components seamlessly into the shipboard training and readinesssystems.
  • Conduct assessments measuring technical progress and effectiveness of plans inmeeting requirements.
  • Leverage use ofCommercial-off-the-Shelf/Government-off-the-Shelf/Non-Developmental Items(COTS/GOTS/NDI) to     support development efforts. 
  • Perform Analysis of Alternatives to assess alternative options for designdecisions.  
  •  Design mechanisms to ensure a cybersecurity resilient system.
  •  Provide technical support and troubleshooting assistance during systemdeployment, test, and training exercises for         multiple platforms at variouslabs, sites, and shipboard locations. 
  • Stay current with advancements in technology, Navy training methodologies, andindustry best practices to continuously improve the training system.
  • Lead or attend Technical Interchange Meetings, Integrated Product Teams, andWorking Groups.
