Medical Director, Radiology

As a Medical Director of Radiology at Sollis Health you will bring your talent and ambition for radiology diagnostics and provide clinical care and administrative leadership in our 24/7 concierge medical centers. You will be an advocate for Sollis members/patients, lead your team of Providers and act as an exemplary leader to champion our mission, vision and values.  This role requires a strong blend of medical expertise, management skills, and the ability to promote an exciting new medical service to high-profile clientele. This position reports to our Chief Medical Officer.

Responsibilities 

• Provide clinical support and supervision of Sollis' radiology departments across all locations
• Develop an ongoing medical product strategy for imaging, including expanding preventative/executive/specialty imaging offerings.
• Provide backup readings to primary teleradiology services when there is a clinical discrepancy or inability to obtain timely reads
• Assist providers in determining most appropriate radiology diagnostic imaging for clinical cases
• Develop, maintain and update guidelines and appropriate use criteria for different imaging options for specific clinical situations (ie. r/o PE in pregnancy)
• Develop, maintain and update policy and procedures for clinical policies related to the use of radiographic and ultrasonographic modalities including contrast use guidelines.
• Partner with the Operations team in developing policy and procedures for CT and MRI safety
• Support the Operations team in training of Radiology Technologists 
• Provide clinical oversight of Radiology Technologists 
• Create and maintain imaging protocols for Technologists to follow to insure patient safety. 
• Develop, maintain and update policy on staff radiation exposure prevention and monitoring to ensure technologist staff safety, including use of shielding devices and radiation badges.
• Support the Expansion and Operations teams in selection of imaging equipment across the enterprise
• Provide support in managing vendor relationships related to radiology services and equipment.

Experience
We believe extraordinary people come from a variety of backgrounds, but ideally we would expect that you have: (include 3-6 experience requirements)

• Medical Degree from an Accredited University.
• Unrestricted Medical licensure and ability to practice in NY.  
• Willingness to obtain licensure in all markets in which Sollis provides radiographic services.  Sollis will assist in obtaining licensure for states that you are not currently licensed
• Board Certification in Diagnostic Radiology
