About the Role

We are seeking a Mid-Level Software Developer to help design, build, and deploy mission-focused software and AI-driven features. In this role, you will contribute directly to cloud-native applications, build secure DevSecOps pipelines, and work with Generative AI technologies alongside an active Agile Scrum team.

Key Responsibilities
  • AI & Application Development: Build and modify software applications, services, and APIs, incorporating Generative AI features (LLMs, RAG, ontology-based apps) and multi-stream data pipelines.
  • Cloud & Infrastructure: Assist with cloud migrations (AWS, OpenShift, Kubernetes), package microservices using Docker/Helm, and deploy applications across varied network environments.
  • DevSecOps & Code Quality: Maintain clean repositories, implement efficient branching strategies, write unit/integration tests, and support security practices like code hardening and vulnerability remediation.
  • Agile Collaboration: Actively participate in Scrum ceremonies, implement backlog items, help write user stories, and troubleshoot issues across cross-functional teams.
Qualifications
  • Active Top Secret/Sensitive Compartmented Information (TS/SCI) security clearance.
  • U.S. Citizenship.
  • Experience: 5+ years of professional software engineering experience (or 8+ years in IT in lieu of a degree).
  • Education: B.S. in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Systems Engineering, or related field.
  • Core Languages: Strong professional proficiency in Python, Java, or Scala.
  • DevOps & Cloud: Hands-on experience with Docker, microservices, Kubernetes/OpenShift, AWS, Git workflows, and CI/CD pipelines.
  • AI & Data: Practical exposure to Generative AI tech (LLMs, RAG workflows), RESTful APIs, and data transformation/integration.
  • Security & Practices: Practical knowledge of DevSecOps scanning, dependency management, and automated testing frameworks.
Desired
  • Understanding of graph-based data models, ontologies, and data visualization techniques.
  • Prior experience in Agile/Scrum environments and delivering technical status updates.
