General Description

At R.E. Mason the IT Team supports our Associates, contractors, and customers with the critical IT systems and tools necessary for R.E. Mason to operate efficiently and effectively.  We are continually driving to improve our business systems with integrations and enhancements to get the most out of the systems we have, improve customer service, and gain efficiency throughout our organization.

The Software Developer position is focused primarily on integrations.  You will work with Business Analysts and other stakeholders to develop integrations between our ERP, third party systems, marketing automation, and other packages we add on to our meet our growing business’ demands.  Additionally, this role will develop enhancements and improvements within our existing business systems to automate processes.

Our toolset includes IFS for ERP and CRM, Boomi Integrate, Boomi Flow, SQL and Oracle databases.  In addition, we use other packages such as Marketo for Marketing, Kentico for content management, and more.

We are looking for a software developer who will work well within a team and is very open to collaboration and knowledge sharing.

Specific Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain integrations using Boomi Integrate.  This includes API development as well as flat file integrations
  • Develop apps using Boomi Flow
  • Develop custom packages in IFS (ERP & CRM)
  • SQL and PL-SQL development
  • Collaborate with Business Analysts to understand requirements, review potential solutions, and deliver software outcomes
  • Mentor less experienced Software Developers
  • Troubleshoot and support existing integrations and customizations
  • Support Oracle and SQL databases
  • Communicate status and progress with ongoing work
  • Document code and produce documentation to ensure that others can support your work

Required Competencies

  • Experience programming in JAVA or other similar languages
  • SQL and/or Oracle programming experience
  • Experience using low-code/no-code development tools
  • Experience developing and supporting APIs, web-services, and/or other integrations
  • Ability to work both independently and in collaboration with a team
  • Ability to work on complex problems with multiple dependencies
  • Strong troubleshooting skills
  • Strong interpersonal skills including the ability to effectively interact with all levels of the organization from front-line end users to executive management as well as external customers.
  • Understanding of new and emerging technologies
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • This is a hybrid role requiring three days per week in the office and two days working from home.

Required Education and Experience

  • 3 plus years of software coding experience
  • Bachelor’s degree in an Information Technology discipline or equivalent work experience
