Nationwide IT Services, NIS, is seeking an experienced Software Developer to support the design, development, enhancement, and maintenance of complex enterprise software applications and operating systems environments. The candidate will be responsible for developing, testing, debugging, and documenting software solutions while supporting mission-critical operations and infrastructure.The ideal candidate will have strong experience with Microsoft .NET technologies and a background supporting secure, large-scale government or enterprise environments.Key Responsibilities
  • Formulate and define specifications for complex software programming applications.
  • Design, develop, test, debug, and maintain software applications and services.
  • Modify and enhance existing software applications using engineering releases and utilities from software manufacturers.
  • Support operating system maintenance activities, including advanced file maintenance routines, telecommunications networks, and enterprise software packages.
  • Participate in all phases of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC), including requirements analysis, design, development, integration, testing, deployment, and maintenance.
  • Develop and maintain technical documentation for software applications and system processes.
  • Evaluate new and existing software products and recommend improvements or enhancements.
  • Collaborate with system administrators, cybersecurity personnel, and project stakeholders to ensure secure and efficient system operations.
  • Troubleshoot software and system issues in both development and production environments.
Minimum Requirements
  • Minimum of five (5) years of relevant software development experience.
  • Strong experience developing applications using Microsoft .NET technologies,
  • Experience with software testing, debugging, and configuration management.
  • Knowledge of secure coding practices and enterprise application development.
  • Experience supporting complex operating environments and enterprise systems.
  • Relevant certification from a nationally recognized technical authority.
  • DoD Approved 8570 Baseline Certification – IAT Level I.
