Job Description:
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
Supply Chain Internsupports Vante business segments through the procurement and the outsourcing ofoutsideservices.
Process purchase material requirements (PMR)
Process subcontract purchase ordersas a result ofEngineering BOM releases and keeps interested parties advised of status on these orders.
Reviews inventory min/max and ensures that stock levels are kept atappropriatelevels.
Buildsrelationships with suppliers andnegotiateswith them for the best pricing and lead time.
Responsible formonitoring delivery performance and product quality of assigned suppliers.
Maintain and update master data in support of ERP implementation.
Arrange transport of goods and tracks orders to ensuretimelydelivery.
Must protect the company's interest in all negotiations.
POSITION TASKS
Execute purchaseordersusingthe ERPpurchasingmodules and production planning parameters toensuretimelyavailability of parts and subcontract services.
Supports R&D projects, productionpilotsand custom ordersbylocatingmaterials and services needed to develop and release products.
Maintains effective and professional relationships with suppliers, developing and improving performance in quality, delivery, and price.
Active participationonsupplier scorecard reviews and communication with the suppliers.
Participates/leadsin the development of required SOP's andmaintainsthem to current process.
Ensures that supplier NDA and surveys are current.
Performs price studies and vendor comparisons.
Reports statusupdates to Planning and ProcurementLeader.
Participates in onsiteMaterial Review Board (MRB)meetings.
Other dutiesasassigned.
