Urology: This role serves as a medical assistant for a busy Urology practice. The responsibilities include processing patients, obtaining medical information, vital signs, performing health screenings, documenting in the electronic medical record, stocking rooms, administering medications within scope, etc.

EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, AND SKILLS:

High School diploma or GED equivalent. Experienced with women's health.
Training and education obtained by completion of a medical assistant program that results in an approved medical assistant certificate.
Knowledge of medical terminology
Basic understanding of common diagnostic tests (e.g. CBC, CMP, U.A).
Understanding of service authorizations (e.g. TARS, Medi-Care, Medi-Cal Managed Care, PPO, HMO)
Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred.
