Job Description

Moog is hiring a Business Unit General Manager (BUGM) for our Electronics & Integrated Systems Business Unit within the Space Division. This integrated business is a foundational element of Moog's Space portfolio, with significant opportunities for operational alignment, strategic growth, and customer partnership.

You will be responsible for full Business Unit Profit and Loss performance and leadership of the functions supporting the portfolio-including Engineering, Operations, Program Management, Supply Chain, Quality, and Business Development. You will guide the business through the transition to a unified operating model and drive strategic and financial success.

Moog's Space and Defense Group is the premier motion and flow control solutions provider for satellites, humanrated space vehicles, launch vehicles, missiles, military ground vehicles, and naval vessels. At Moog, we embrace a culture of trust and mutual respect-helping our team members experience deeper job satisfaction, better rewards, and a strong quality of life inside and outside of work.

As a Business Unit General Manager, you will:

  • Own BU P&L and all financial performance metrics, including revenue, profit, OnTime Delivery, Quality, and Safety across the integrated product lines.
  • Create and maintain an environment that attracts, engages, and retains exceptional talent-one where Moog employees thrive and customers choose to work with us long term.
  • Build and sustain a BU Leadership Team grounded in trust, mutual respect, and crossfunctional alignment; drive an organizational culture committed to talent development.
  • Lead teams across multiple operating locations, fostering collaboration and shared purpose across the previously independent product lines.
  • Collaborate with fellow Business Unit General Managers, ensuring strong internal customer partnerships and minimizing siloed operations as Moog defines and matures dedicated factory spaces and integrated workflows.
  • Provide executive oversight and direction to Operations, Engineering, Program Management, Supply Chain, Quality, and Business Development functions.
  • Guide business financial strategy, including pricing, cost targets, contract negotiations, and risk/opportunity assessments for both recurring and new business.
  • Strengthen customer relationships-nurturing existing partnerships while actively supporting the development of emerging accounts; maintain proactive engagement in strategic customer planning.
  • Develop and execute strategic plans for the Electronics & Integrated Systems BU, ensuring alignment with Space Division and Space & Defense Group initiatives.
  • Play an active leadership role within the Space & Defense Group, contributing to crossgroup strategic decisions, budgeting processes, and the communication of new business strategies and Moog corporate priorities.

To be considered for this role, here's what you'll need to bring with you:

  • Bachelor's Degree in a Business or Technical discipline (MBA preferred)
  • 15+ years of leadership experience in electronics manufacturing, integrated systems, or related highreliability technology sectors
  • 5+ years in a strategic leadership role with responsibility for people leadership and business strategy
  • Direct P&L leadership experience within the Space, Defense, or Aerospace industry
  • Ability to hold or received a TS/SCI clearance
  • Ability to lead across multisite operations through organizational change and integration
  • This role can be based in Gilbert, AZ, Arvada, CO, or Mountain View, CA
  • Travel will be ~30% - 50%

Our Benefits:
