Event Set Up Attendant

Responsible for the physical setup for all conference meetings, including the meeting rooms, cocktail parties, weddings, private dinners, and any special needs requested by the client or management.
MUST BE ABLE TO WORK HOLIDAYS AND WEEKENDS. VARIABLE SCHEDULE POSTED WEEKLY
Variable hourly position: Full-time hours available during the season - October-April. Hours may be reduced during the summer season.
DUTIES
Setting up meeting rooms and private function areas with the appropriate equipment and materials, including tables, chairs, glasses, water, pens, writing tablets, and any other items requested.
Storing equipment and materials neatly in proper areas.
Icing and watering all meetings at the start and during breaks.
Emptying trash from all function areas.
Changing linen, and putting it in the correct areas for cleaning by housekeeping.
Vacuuming all meeting rooms after functions.
Inspecting Banquet equipment for defects, cleanliness, and any other maintenance needed and reporting to the Manager.
Cleaning and mopping of the storerooms and meeting rooms.
Any other reasonable task, written or verbal, by the Supervisor or manager.
QUALIFICATIONS
H.S. graduate or equivalent
Excellent customer service skills.
Previous set up experience and familiarity with possible room configurations is a plus
Ability to exert up to 100 lbs. of force occasionally, and 50 pounds of force frequently. Must be able to lift, carry, push, pull and otherwise move objects. Must possess the ability to bend, stretch, twist or reach with body and arms, work under variable temperatures and noise levels. Must be able to stand for long periods of time without sitting or leaning.
