Description

• Conduct assessments on patients across pediatric, adult, and geriatric groups utilizing standardized tests and observational insights.
• Create tailor-made therapy plans aimed at achieving both immediate and long-term communication and swallowing goals.
• Engage in individualized speech therapy sessions focused on language, fluency, voice quality, and swallowing challenges.
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team, including physical therapists, occupational therapists, nurses, and family members to ensure unified patient care.
• Provide education to patients and families, equipping them to support progress outside of clinic hours.
• Occasionally perform inpatient evaluations and therapy sessions, ensuring continuous quality care throughout each patient's journey.
• Maintain meticulous documentation according to state and organizational guidelines.
• Stay informed on industry advancements through professional development and peer interactions.

Education

• Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited institution.
• Completion of a supervised Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) prior to obtaining ASHA certification, if applicable.

Certifications

• State licensure as a Speech Language Pathologist.
• Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) from ASHA is preferred.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is required to be obtained within 30 days of employment.
