POSITION SUMMARY

The Server ensures that all guests are provided with exceptional service and Southern hospitality, while participating in team work and ongoing sidework according to standard of Lucille's Smokehouse Bar-B-Que. The Server has extensive knowledge in all aspects of the food and drink menu and is able to assist guests with menu and drink selections.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

Provides friendly and helpful service to all guests
Contributes and excels in team service environment
Memorizes, recites and promotes all menu items
Performs all steps of service
Follows cash handling policies
Performs opening, on-going, and closing sidework duties
Follows and understands all company procedures and policies

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. as needed
Continuous use of hands and arms
Ability to be on your feet for an extended period of time Continuous bending, reaching, twisting, and abrupt stopping

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, & ABILITIES

Excellent verbal communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to speak, read, and write English
Basic math skills
Basic computer skills; able to use and understand the restaurant's POS system Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
Ability to work effectively with a team
Ability to carry and balance plates and trays
Ability to maintain an upbeat, outgoing and positive demeanor Ability to absorb and retain information quickly
Ability to handle cash
