Research Data Analyst, Real Estate & Infrastructure Securities

The Research Data Analyst is a junior Data Engineer role responsible for building and supporting the data infrastructure for the Global Investment Research team. As the GIR team evolves and expands, the Data Analyst will build data infrastructure that supports the team's production of regularly scheduled reports and research publications.

Main Responsibilities

• Organize and administer data services for quantitative analysis and reporting
• Design optimal data services and data models to fit the use cases
• Analyze and visualize data for usage in research reports
• Coordinate closely with other data engineer and group Research leads
• Coordinate with corporate Technology as advancements are made in the fields of Cloud computing, data storage and management, and eventually web-based reporting

Skills and Experience

• Demonstrated experience working with data tools include SQL and Python
• Expert levels hands-on demonstrable knowledge of the Python programming language is a requirement
• Familiarity with modern IDEs and source control systems such as GIT required.
• Knowledge of Microsoft Office required, with knowledge of data processing within a Microsoft Office environment preferred
• Familiarity with Python visualization tools including matplotlib, seaborn, and plotly preferred
• Familiarity with AWS is a strong plus
• Excellent communication skills and strong self-motivation needed to work efficiently in a global team
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, good attention to details
• Familiarity with and interest in financial data strongly preferred
