Job description

Department Description:

The Kate Possin Lab is part of the Memory and Aging Center (MAC) within UCSF's Department of Neurology, a leading center for research and clinical care in neurodegenerative. The lab conducts research to improve cognitive assessment, advance early detection, and improve quality in dementia care. 

Job Summary:

Under direct supervision, acquires skills and knowledge of professional concepts in research data analysis. Works on small projects or segments of projects with limited scope and complexity. A few of the ongoing projects:

Care Ecosystem: manage, analyze, and visualize data for the Care Ecosystem intervention trial. Run reports to report ongoing progress.

TabCAT: assist researchers in data cleaning and analysis for various cognitive assessment data.

Proficiency in R, Python, or Excel preferred. 

Preferred Qualifications: 

  • Bachelor's degree in related area and / or equivalent experience / training.
  • Proficiency in R, Python, or Excel preferred
  • Acquiring knowledge of research function. Acquiring ability to perform research analysis duties.
  • Acquiring statistical analysis, systems programming, and database design skills to perform research analysis duties.
  • Ability to effectively manage time and see assigned parts of projects through to completion on deadline.
  • Basic consultation and communication skills.
