Dispatcher

We, at Leggett & Platt Inc., are searching for a(n) Dispatcher within our Logisticsteam to help support our Corporate business. As a(n) Dispatcher you will have the opportunity to work directly with drivers, branch personnel, and external customers. Your contributions will have a direct impact on the business by managing superior driver and customer relationships, as well as maximize the benefits of all freight transactions for the company. The team you will be working with is hard-working and solutions-oriented, and values exceptional customer service.

So, what will you be doing as a(n) Dispatcher?

• Maintain an extensive line of communication with drivers and customers to complete deliveries in a timely manner
• Develop and maintain excellent working relationships with drivers and branch personnel
• Scheduling equipment maintenance
• Route planning
• Tracking and tracing of load movements
• Maintain a friendly, efficient service to drivers, customers, and office personnel

To be successful in this role, you'll need:

• High School Diploma or GED
• 3 years of dispatch experience, highly preferred
• Excellent communication, customer service, and problem-solving skills
• Ability to manage multiple demands while maintaining a high degree of accuracy
• Knowledge and experience with DOT regulations and transportation industry
• Availability to be on-call
• Proficiency in McLeod, Qualcomm, and Microsoft Office is a plus
• Ability to work within a team setting
