Pay Range:
• Fully Licensed: $29.47 – $39.88/hr. (Based on experience) + Benefits
• Limited License: $27.22 – $37.36/hr. (Based on experience) + Benefits

Schedule Information
- Day Shift
- Standard Hours:
- Monday – Thursday: 8:30 AM – 7:00 PM
- Friday: 8:30 AM – 5:00 PM
- Saturday: 9:00 AM – 1:00 PM
- Flexible scheduling available
- Some evening and weekend hours required based on program needs
- Shared on-call responsibilities during business hours
- Optional after-hours coverage opportunities available
- Additional stipend available for after-hours crisis response work
Position Summary:
As a Crisis Therapist within the Adult Behavioral Health Program, you will provide crisis screening, assessment, intervention, care coordination, and ongoing therapeutic support for adults experiencing mental health and substance use crises.
This position works closely with local police departments and community partners to assess individuals in crisis and determine the most appropriate level of care and services.
Services may be provided in-office, in the community, and/or through telehealth platforms.
Responsibilities
- Provide crisis screening, assessment, and intervention services for adults referred by local law enforcement agencies
- Conduct telehealth and in-person behavioral health evaluations
- Determine appropriate levels of care and least restrictive treatment settings
- Provide care coordination, advocacy, and transitional support services
- Respond promptly to crisis intervention calls during scheduled on-call hours
- Deliver trauma-informed mental health treatment services
- Support adults diagnosed with serious mental illness and/or substance use disorders
- Develop therapeutic relationships with clients, families, and community supports
- Coordinate referrals and transition clients to long-term treatment services
- Maintain accurate clinical documentation and treatment records
- Collaborate with law enforcement, healthcare providers, and community agencies
- Utilize technology and telehealth systems effectively
Requirements
- Master’s Degree in Social Work, Psychology, or Counseling REQUIRED
- Michigan Licensure REQUIRED:
- Must obtain Qualified Mental Health Professional (QMHP) and SATS credentials within 120 days of hire
- Must possess CAADC credential OR be enrolled in an approved MCBAP Development Plan within required timelines
- Experience working with adults with serious mental illness and/or substance use disorders REQUIRED
- Strong crisis intervention and trauma-informed care skills REQUIRED
- Excellent organizational, communication, and documentation skills REQUIRED
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in community settings REQUIRED
- Must be comfortable using telehealth and technology platforms
