Server - Sushi Roku - OPENING SOON!!! The purpose of this position is to provide an experience of excellence for our guests by making them feel welcome, comfortable, important and relaxed, and guide guests through their dining experience by recommending, selling and serving food and drinks. Essential functions and responsibilities include the following: Knowledge of extensive food, beverage and cocktail menus, along with all ingredients. Must pass periodical testing for food and beverage knowledge. Welcome and greet guests with "And 1" hospitality. Inform guests of specials and menu changes, and inquire about any allergies. Answer questions about our food, beverages and other restaurant functions and services. Make recommendations you genuinely feel your guests will enjoy. Properly pace guest's dining experience by reading the table, guiding them through food and beverage selections, hitting all points of service, taking food and beverage orders, and entering orders in our point-of-sale system. Deliver food and beverages from kitchen and bar to guests in a timely matter. Perform side work at the start and end of each shift as required by service station assignment. Maintain clean service areas. Be organized, proactive, responsive and efficient to ensure guests are satisfied with their dining experience and IDG hospitality. Prepare final bill, present check to guest, accept payment, process credit card charges and/or make change (if applicable). Be ready and willing to be a team player, and assist fellow co-workers as situations arise. Thank guests for their visit and invite them to return. Be available to fill in as needed to ensure the smooth and efficient operation of the restaurant as directed by the restaurant manager or immediate supervisor. Other duties may be assigned. Must be twenty one (21) years of age or older. EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE Prefer previous and/or relevant experience in a high-end, high-volume restaurant. LANGUAGE SKILLS Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, training materials, and procedure manuals. Ability to communicate effectively with co-workers. MATHEMATICAL SKILLS Ability to perform basic mathematical functions as relates to the essential functions of the job, i.e., ability to accurately count and document inventory, observe proper measurements and portions for recipes and/or preparation, properly use computer monitor for ordering items. REASONING ABILITY Ability to carry out detailed and specific written and/or oral instructions. Ability to problem solve in standardized situations. CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS It is the employee's responsibility to secure and maintain current status of all required certificates, licenses, (Ex.

Servsafe) or registrations when required by local, state, or federal government agencies, including a valid Food Handler Card. Must have upon hire. PHYSICAL DEMANDS The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is required to work in a standing position for long periods of time (up to 8 hours), with some walking and occasional sitting; use hands and fingers to handle and/or feel; reach with hands and arms; talk or hear; and smell. This job operates in the kitchen and may be working in close proximity to co-workers. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate to loud, generally in an indoor setting.

The employee will work a varying schedule to include evenings, weekends, holidays and extended hours as business dictates.
